Warrant Officer James Chandler (Lou Diamond Phillips) responds to the murder of a sergeant’s wife on an army base and begins an investigation into the crime despite the military police’s insistence that the wife was the victim of a robbery. Determined to prove more ulterior motives led to the woman’s death, Chandler befriends a soldier (Victoria Pratt) who helps him in his investigation. As the two grow closer, Chandler ignores threats and begins to piece together motives for the murder, unraveling a conspiracy that threatens both his own life and those who blindly support their superiors. When Chandler’s chief suspect announces his intentions to leave the army he realizes he’s running out of time. Once discharged, the murderer could walk free.
